Hey there travel enthusiasts! Today, I want to share with you my recent experience at Paraiso Del Sol Y Paradero in Playa de las Americas, Tenerife. I must admit, it wasn't exactly the holiday I had in mind, but let me tell you all about it.

First things first, let's talk about the positives. The hotel is indeed quiet, and if that's what you're looking for, then you're in luck. However, the reason for this soon became clear - it lacked guests. Upon check-in, the receptionist proudly handed us the keys to one of their "best" studio apartments. Unfortunately, that was far from the truth. Twin beds instead of the requested double were a disappointment, but I could look past that. What I couldn't overlook was the absence of hot water when I tried to take a much-needed shower after a long day of work.

As if that wasn't bad enough, our half-board experience left a lot to be desired. Dinner options were limited to pork, fish, or tuna pasta, with sides consisting only of egg fried rice or chips. It was a huge letdown compared to the variety of culinary delights I was hoping for. The following morning, breakfast was a buffet affair, offering a choice between a continental or cooked full English breakfast. Sadly, the cooked breakfast was burnt, dried up, and cold. Definitely not a good start to the day!

Now, I can show you a picture that perfectly encapsulates the cleanliness of my living quarters during those five days. Although, I must apologize in advance for the untidiness caused by my desperate search for anything that would make my stay slightly more comfortable.

So there you have it, my not-so-dreamy experience at Paraiso Del Sol Y Paradero. If you're looking for a clean, quiet, and comfortable place to stay in Playa de las Americas, I'm afraid I can't recommend this hotel. But hey, every trip has its ups and downs, right?
